Heritage Park Fountain
Size:
1.11 acres
Location:
330 5th Ave. SW
Park Features:
- Picnic Areas
- Fountain for Wading/Splashing
Fountain Hours:
Why does the fountain close twice a day? To maintain water quality for recreational use, the water circulates through a filtering and bromine system. During the summer, warm weather and high use causes bromine levels to drop. To ensure the bromine stays at safe levels and to prevent unexpected closures, the fountain will shut down twice daily. Each shut down will be for one and a half hours. This is necessary to protect public health. On Wednesdays, the fountain is closed for changing the water and other routine maintenance.
