Parking & Business Improvement Area Board
The PBIA Board was created by the Olympia City Council in January, 2006 with the adoption of Ordinance No. 6375 establishing the Parking and Business Improvement Area (PBIA) for downtown Olympia.
The Board's purpose is two-fold:
- Develop an annual recommendation for Council consideration about how to invest the PBIA Fund, with specific projects and budgets; and
- Prepare a plan for regular communication of PBIA projects and information to ratepayers.

Staff Liaison
The City contracts with the Olympia Downtown Association to provide staff assistance to the PBIA Board.
In addition, Steve Friddle, from Olympia's Community Planning & Development Department, is a liaison from City administration.
