What is the Owner-Occupant Rehab Program?

The City of Olympia Housing Rehabilitation Program helps low- and moderate-income homeowners take care of home maintenance needs. The loans are provided to repair fire, life, and safety hazards in the homes and to conserve and improve older residential neighborhoods.

Who is Eligible?

  • City of Olympia Residents.
  • Households with incomes at or below 80% of median incomes as established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. For current levels, please contact the City of Olympia Housing Rehabilitation Program.
  • Households with assets of less than $25,000.
  • Houses that can be brought up to housing quality standards within the budget.

Loan Information

  • Loan Application
  • Low interest
  • No monthly payments for lowest-income applicants
  • Small, low-interest payments for moderate-income applicants
  • Repayment deferred until residence ownership changes
  • Maximum loan amount is $32,500 dependent on home equity and other federal regulatory issues
