Graffiti - Graffiti Removal
If you are not part of a Neighborhood Association or Block Watch Neighborhood, and you would like to make your own graffiti removal kit, find instructions below, and download our Graffiti Clean Up flyer.
Make your own graffiti removal kit:
Here is a list of items to include in your graffiti removal kit.
- Protective equipment: Rubber gloves, face mask, and eye protection.
- Hand towels: It is recommended that you rinse off the area with water prior to wiping it down. This will remove any residue that may remain from the cleaner.
- Graffiti remover: The Public Works Department is currently researching environmentally-friendly graffiti remover that is available for the public to buy. For more information, call 360.753.8588.
- Soft brush: A soft-bristled brush (see photo) should be used to loosen up graffiti after it has been treated with GrafLite.
- Scrub brush: A stiff-bristled scrub brush (see photo) should be used to take care of the more stubborn stains.
- Scraper: A scraping tool (see photo) should be used to scrape off stickers.
