Bag your organics using a compostable bag. They will be marked “ASTM D-6400” certified, or will have “compostable” on the label. Remember:

DO use compostable bags. For your convenience, the City has compiled a list of local retailers that carry compostable bags. Compostable bags are usually located with the other trash bags and cleaning supplies. Note: If your business now carries compostable bags and is not listed, email us -- we would love to add you to the list.
