Thurston Council on Cultural Diversity/Human Rights

This Council is appointed by the Thurston County Commissioners.  There are 23 members on the Thurston Council on Cultural Diversity & Human Rights.  The Olympia City Council recommends one of the 23 members for appointment.  

In 1992, Thurston County and various cities in the County agreed to form the Council as a venue to work together to promote multicultural diversity and human rights education, support diverse cultural activities, and provide a forum for interaction between diverse cultural groups.

Membership Criteria
The Olympia appointee must be an Olympia City resident.
