Community Service
Court Ordered Community Service

If you have been ordered to complete community service, you must report to the Olympia Probation Day Reporting Center at 825-D Legion Way within 48 hours of sentencing (not counting weekends and holidays).  Bring the copy of the court order given to you and the community service application form.  Failure to report may result in a warrant for your arrest.

Community Service in Lieu of Fines

If you would like participate in the community serve program to help pay off court ordered fines, you are required to complete the community service application, pay a $25 fee, which includes liability insurance and processing, and meet with the probation department for site placement.  There is designated time available to sign up for community service for court ordered fines each Tuesday from 10 am to 12 noon only.  Participation in this program does not release you from paying your monthly court fines, but may reduce the required monthly payment amount or relieve you from paying your fine if you complete all required community service hours.

You will be given $10 credit against your outstanding balance for every hour of community service completed.  No money is exchanged.  Only authorized hours at a pre-approved site will be credited towards your fine.

Effective July 1, 2008 the community service fee will be increased to $30.
