Project Location:
Sidewalk will be constructed along the east side of Boulevard Road from 22nd Avenue to 30th Avenue and along the west side of Boulevard Road from 30th Avenue to Washington Middle School.
Project Description:
This project will install new curb ramp and sidewalk along Boulevard Road. The project is part of many improvements slated for the Boulevard Road Corridor over the next several years. The project will address the needs of pedestrians, transit users and bicyclists, making it safer for all by separating users from vehicles. It is especially important for the many schoolchildren who travel to Washington Middle School using this route.
Project Elements:
- 1,680 feet of 6-foot sidewalk;
- Pedestrian crossing island at 31st Court for school crossing; and
- Planter strips separating pedestrians from traffic.

- Advertise for Bids: Spring, 2009
- Construction: Summer, 2009
