New Neighborhood ReSource Program
The City of Olympia Waste ReSources has received a grant from the department of ecology to help start a residential curbside food waste collection program. This program will enhance the already existing yard waste collection – both materials will be co-collected in the same bin. We are seeking public involvement from neighborhood groups about cart sizes and general concerns. We’d also like to enlist at least 2 neighborhood groups to work closely with Waste ReSources over the 12-24 months for on-going feedback and data collection. To get involved or for more information please call Ron Jones at 360.753.8509
Neighborhood University

For more information about forming a neighborhood association please email Jennifer Kenny or call 753-8031.
Check back for additional presentations throughout 2008! Participation is open to residents of Olympia, and registration is required.

Natural Disaster Preparedness
Communities throughout the Pacific Northwest are subject to a number of potential natural disasters. While we all hope that such occurrences never happen, it has been shown time and time again that being prepared for disasters is prudent. Proper planning and preparation will help you and your family be more comfortable in the event that your home is damaged.
