August 1, 2008 - Applications Due
Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received.
September 12, 2008 - Review Panel
All applications will be reviewed by a peer review panel consisting of:
- One Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Member
- One Arts Commission Member
- One Olympia School District #111 Staff or Faculty
- One Olympia Parks, Arts & Recreation Department Staff Member
- One Citizen at Large
- The review panel is an open public process and applicants are encouraged to attend as an observer. The panel will advise OPARD staff of the finalists for on-site interviews.
September 22-26, 2008 - Interviews
Two OPARD staff members will conduct on-site interviews.
October 1, 2008 - Recommendations
Recommendations from the review panel and the OPARD staff will be given to
the OPARD Director for final approval and inclusion in the 2008 budget.
December 2008 - City Council Adoption of the 2009 Budget.
January 1, 2009 - Contract Begins
