DIRECTIONS TO OLYMPIA POLICE FACILITIES

Main Police Facility (includes City Jail)

Service desk hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except holidays.

Approaching from the south (Portland), take I-5 Exit 105 toward the Port of Olympia.  The Exit will curve around back under the freeway and end at the traffic signal on Plum Street.  Turn left at Plum Street.  Go straight through the signal at Union Avenue.  The Olympia City Hall and Police Station are in the next block on your right.

Approaching from the north (Seattle), take I-5 Exit 105 toward the Port of Olympia.  The Exit will become Plum Street.  Go straight through the signals at Henderson Boulevard and Union Avenue.  The Olympia City Hall and Police Station are in the first block past Union Avenue on your right.


Downtown Station

Service desk hours vary. This station is staffed by volunteers only. Officers are available by appointment.

The Downtown Station is located on Fifth Avenue one block east of Capital Way.  The Station is on the north side of the street inside the New Caldonia Building.  The service desk at this Station is operated by OPD Downtown Ambassadors (community volunteers) who can provide directions, community and public safety information and assistance with reporting crimes.  Hours vary, but the facility is generally staffed a portion of every business day.


West Side Station

This station has no service desk.

The West Side Station is located on Perry Street, just north of Harrison Avenue.  From Capitol Way, take State Avenue to the west (State Avenue is one way to the west. It will merge into Fourth Avenue and become two-way).  Cross the bridge and bear to the right at the first traffic circle.  Go three-fourths of the way around the second traffic circle and continue up the hill to the first signal (Perry Street).  Turn right at the signal on Perry Street.  The Station is at the end of the first block on the left.  This Station is the home of the Police Community Programs Unit.  There is no service desk open to the public.


Police Training Facility (Pistol Range)

The pistol range is not currently open to the public.  Law enforcement agencies wishing information about use of the facility should contact Lt. Bill Wilson at 753-8410. 

Approaching from the south (Olympia, Portland), take I-5 Exit 109.  Turn right on Martin Way.  Go straight on Martin Way to the third traffic signal (Carpenter Road).  Turn left on Carpenter Road.  Turn right at the alley immediately behind the tanning business.  The alley leads to the Training Facility.

Approaching from the north (Seattle), take I-5 Exit 109.  Turn left on Martin Way (back under the freeway).  Go straight on Martin Way to the fourth traffic signal (Carpenter Road).  Turn left on Carpenter Road.  Turn right at the alley immediately behind the tanning business.  The alley leads to the Training Facility.
