A Smart Growth Dialogue
Schedule a lively, hands-on debate and discussion session playing The Land Use Game! This program was developed to engage citizens in an interactive way so that you can:
- Learn about City plans and visions for the future,
- Discuss the issues and share ideas, and
- Find out how to get information, comment on issues, or get involved in City activities.
The game is meant to engage citizens in a discussion about City short- and long-term plans. Participants get to be the decision makers for the evening or class period, determining where and at what density future housing units will be located in a quadrant of the City. Olympia Planning Commission members or staff are available to facilitate the game at your meeting or class.
