The City of Olympia's Drinking Water Utility is managed under the Public Works Department, Water Resources Program.  To ensure clean, safe, and reliable drinking water, our dedicated team works in the following areas:

Water Quality staff ensure Olympia's water meets all state and federal requirements and is safe to drink. Visit our water quality pages or review our 2008 Drinking Water Quality Report to learn more.

Cross Connections:  The Cross Connection Control program is responsible to ensure that contaminants do not enter the drinking water system.  Visit our cross connection pages to learn more.

Water Conservation: We have an indoor and outdoor water conservation program that offers water saving kits and educates citizens how to make good choices to conserve water.  VIsit our water conservation pages to learn more.

Groundwater Protection staff focuses on the goal of preventing the contamination of our drinking water.  Visit the Groundwater Protection pages to learn how you can keep our water safe and clean.

Water Operations staff work very hard to ensure that every time you turn on your faucet, you have safe and reliable water.  Our crews respond to water leaks, water pressure problems, and provide routine maintenance to ensure the water system stays in working order.  Visit our Water Operations page to learn more.
