Education & Action - Drain Dare

  Quick Links
It's new, it's incredible! Drain Dare brings a message with meaning: how to keep our urban runoff from polluting our streams, creeks, rivers, and the Sound.

This custom, two-tiered, enclosed trailer uses colorful graphics, life-size, whimsical characters, and a 3-foot diameter crawl-through tube to teach about stormwater pollution.

Participants will experience the flow of rainfall over our roads, roofs, and parking lots into the storm drain as untreated, polluted water flowing through the underground pipe directly to the Sound. This experiential learning is aimed at making the message clear and lasting: land use practices are polluting our waters and the little bits add up.

To schedule a lesson on stormwater pollution with the Drain Dare, contact Patricia Pyle at (360) 570-5841, or e-mail.
