Education & Action - Stream Team

  Quick Links
Stream Team is an education-to-action program for people interested in protecting and enhancing our local streams, rivers, lakes, and Puget Sound.

To learn about what events are happening, visit our events page or download the printer friendly Stream Team newsletter, published quarterly.  Throughout the year, a variety of action projects and educational opportunities are sponsored by the Cities of Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, and Thurston County.

Past Stream Team action projects have included tree plantings, storm drain stenciling, gravel placement in salmon spawning creeks, salmon education and outreach, and macroinvertebrate (stream bugs) monitoring.

Popular field class topics have included shellfish, salmon, and native plants. During the summer we offer fun and interactive day camps for elementary and middle school students.  All are welcome to participate in Stream Team activities!  To learn more or to join Stream Team, call (360) 753-8454, or email us.
