150 Birthday - Especially for Kids

Student Poetry Contest

As part of Olympia's 150th birthday celebration, students from K-12 living within the Olympia School District were asked to describe their favorite thing about Olympia in a poem.

Children's Activity Book

Below are excerpts from the Children's Book of Fun which was put together by the Clerk Services Department especially for kids:

The activity book features Oly 'n Pia, two children who lived at the time when Olympia was born as a City, back in 1859. They serve as your guides for old-fashioned activities and puzzles that are just as fun in the 21st century as they were in the 19th century.
