Project Information
Rodarte Construction Inc, is working to install a new water pump station across from Marathon Park, on Deschutes Parkway. We will also add nearly one mile of water supply line along Deschutes Parkway and Lakeridge Drive to increase drinking water supply, fire flow, and increase water pressure for Westside residents. The City is partnering with LOTT Alliance to extend the reclaimed water line to provide use for the Olympia Auto Mall, City parks, and other Westside businesses. The City is providing a financial incentive for the contractor to reduce the amount of time that Lakeridge Drive is closed.
There are two parts to this construction project. The first part consists of installing a water supply line and reclaimed water line on Lakeridge Drive and Deschutes Parkway. This part will be done by the end of November.
The second part of the project consists of building a pump station in the gravel lot across from Marathon Park. Construction will not disrupt traffic flow on Deschutes Parkway since the building site is located west of the roadway. This part of the project is scheduled to finish up by late spring, 2010.
Project Cost:
Total cost for this project is approximately $4.3 million.
The City is parterning with the LOTT Alliance to extend the reclaimed water line up to the West Side so it can be used in the future by the Olympia Auto Mall, South Puget Sound Community College, City parks, and other West Side businesses.
