Pedestrian Crossing Improvements 2008
Location: Eight intersections around the City will receive pedestrian improvements through the 2008 emphasis project work. Intersection locations are listed below with attached PDF maps:
Project Schedule: Construction is scheduled to begin December 1, 2008, and continue through January 2009.
Project Impacts: Minimal traffic impacts are expected. Some areas may experience a couple of hours of disruptions, whereas other areas may have a full day or two of interruption.
Description: This project provides for the improvement of pedestrian traffic facilities at eight locations throughout the City. Improvements consist of removing and installing new traffic signs and pavement markings, along with installation of curb and access ramps. Construction at the intersection of Eastside Street and State Avenue will include installation of a new concrete "bulb out" for pedestrians, new storm pipe, catch basins and sod.
