Olympia is starting the Process of Updating its Comprehensive Plan
The State Growth Management Act requires that all Cities develop plans to manage population and urban growth. The Comprehensive Plan is the blueprint that the City uses to ensure Olympia stays a great place to place to live, work and play.

You Are Invited to the Kick Off Event
The City of Olympia will hold a Kick Off Event on Saturday, November 14, 2009. Jan Weydemeyer, Senior Planner, relays, “The Comprehensive Plan is the big picture document that guides our long-term decisions about growth. The Kick Off Event is the first of many opportunities for citizens to get involved. At the meeting, citizens will be provided an overview of the update process.”
Get Involved—Host a Meeting
The City of Olympia is looking for volunteers to host small group meetings to be held between now and December 2009. Come to the Kick Off Event or visit the Home Kit page to download a kit. It’s easy; just invite a few of your friends, neighbors or colleagues to meet with you to talk about your community. Your input will help guide the future planning for our great City!
