City of Olympia Traffic Impacts:

Black Lake Boulevard from 9th Avenue to approximately 300-ft south of the Cooper Point Road intersection.

  • When: Week of August 25, 2008 and expect to last five weeks
  • Hours:  This project includes day time and night time work. Hours will vary weekly. Please check out our newsrelease for more specfic information.
  • Impacts: Traffic will be reduced where necessary to allow crews to complete this work. Please see our newsrelease for more specific information.

Union Avenue pipe repair work will affect night traffic

  • When: Beginning August 18, 2008 for approximately two weeks
  • Impacts: Traffic will be reduced to one lane of travel between 7:00 p.m - 6:00 a.m., but open during the day.

Ames Road and San Francisco Avenue NE 

  • When: Between July 21 - August 29, 2008
  • Impacts: Both roads will be closed for construction of the Ellis Creek Fish Passage/Culvert Replacement Project

Ongoing - Long Term Closures

  • 14th Avenue NW (off Cooper Point Road): The LOTT Alliance  began construction on the Kaiser Road Forcemain and Water Line Project.  To learn more about this project visit LOTT's website Adams Street: Goudy Construction will be doing work for the new WSECU parking garage.
  • North Street:  The City of Tumwater will be doing work on North Street between Cleveland Avenue and Hawthorne Street (the Tumwater - Olympia boundary) starting May 5th, 2008, and will continue for about one year.  To learn more visit the City of Tumwater's website

  • Watch for Flaggers and Construction Crews: Please obey flaggers; they are there to protect you and construction workers.  Emergency vehicles will have access to the area at all times.
